Jace won the lottery...

And he decided he needed a bigger house.

But like all the Besecker men he is very frugal with his money so it is not at all in living condition. It needs a good power washing and well it needs all the nuts and bolts to put it together. So the picture above is just a picture of the 'model home'. But when the weather breaks and the men can get to it, they will clean it up and get it together so Jace can move in and invite all his friends over for a party.

So now his first condo will be cleaned up and put on the market as soon as his new house is ready to live in.

I tell ya, that kid has a spending problem and he needs to stay far far away from craigslist.

Spring Cleaning

This is my newest Craigslist deal. We paid $30 for it. Jace loves it, but he has some major spring cleaning to do before it will be nice. Brent will power wash it once it gets warm and that should take care of the majority of it. The previous owners even threw in the 'bike' and a tonka truck. One heck of a deal for a little boy.
Here is what the floor inside looks like. I think this house needs to be condemned until further notice. I am not sure what is all in there. I will be wearing gloves to clean that out.

I have no idea where he gets his sense of style

This is my son, yes I will admit it. At this moment he is wearing a sweatsuit material romper thingy, navy blue windpants under that and Brent's socks on his hands.

He slept in the romper outfit and when I was getting him dressed this morning he would not take it off. So all I got on him was clean socks and the pants. He refused to put a shirt on.

Brent said he is not taking him anywhere today dressed liked this. I don't see anything wrong with the outfit. LOL

Issues

I think I am in the midst of an MS relapse. As a quick update - I was taken off the fingolimod (oral trial drug) at the beginning of February because my Lymphocyte levels dropped too low. I can't go back on the medication till my levels reach at least .6 which we are hoping will only take 1 month, but there is no way to be sure. I just have to keep getting my blood tested until it is high enough again.

Anyway back to the relapse. My upper right back, shoulder blade area, as gone numb tingly again and my upper arm is very heavy feeling. I have also been getting the headaches/shooting pain above my left eye that I usually get when Optic Neuritis wants to visit.

I have emailed my study coordinator and will see what she says. I am sure it will mean a visit to all my lovely doctors, which I am not looking forward to, but I am required to report all this since I am still considered a trial participant.

I will keep everyone updated on what happens.

Valentine's Day

We took Jace to AHA Children's Museum for the day. He had a blast

He was rocking his shirt!

And he had to paint his own face. My artwork was just not good enough for him. What do you think- Make Up Artist for a career?By the smile on his face, I would say he had a great day!

It never crossed my mind to take my camera, so I had to take pictures on my phone. I don't know why I didn't think to take it.

Three's Company

Meet Dooser ( he needs a new name). Dooser is a 5 lb min pin/chihuahua mix. He is about 4 months old and he is he newest member of our family. Dooser was left on the sidewalk at Thanksgiving with a note saying "Free to a good home". So my babysitters son and daughter-in-law took him it. But they have since decided that they can't give him a good home, so they have given him to us. He is tiny. We are thinking Zues, Spike, Steve for names. Zues is my pick so far.
And he is tiny. Here is laying beside our Terrier.

Jace TWO Year checkup

Brent reported that it went well and Jace just layed on the table the whole time. They checked his hemoglobin levels by pricking his toe and he is not anemic.

He is 28 lbs 13 oz, and 35 inches tall, his head circumference is 20 inches. Average kid of mine. Of course he falls into the 94% for his head. We always say he is a jug head and the experts just agree with us I guess. LOL. I love my kid.

But he is doing great and we can reintroduce nuts, fish and eggs into his diet. I am sure that will make him a very happy little boy. Fish sticks and omelets were some of his favorite foods. We also have to start weaning him off of whole milk and get him to take a less fatty version. That should be fun.

What a Weekend

I took off work on Friday so that Jace and I could hang out in his 2nd Birthday. We went shopping and then we went to Color My World and made a plate with his handprints on it.

On Friday night my little sister and I went out just the 2 of us for the first time in probably 4 years. We just went to Applebee's and had a few drinks but it was great to get away and have a gossip/bitch fest with my little sis.

Saturday was the big birthday party. I was expecting about 25-30 people at my house at 11 am. Luckily the menu was just sloppy joes, chips, and relish tray. Easy peasy. Ashley made the cake so I didn't even have to worry about that.

I think it was a great cake and everyone loved it. Here are a few other pictures from Jace's party.

Saturday night Grandma kept all three grandkids overnight so that we could all go out. It was a blast. Ashley, Dave, Brent and I went to Dave & Busters. I haven't been there in a couple of years. We literally closed the place the down (LOL) and then we went to Tee Jays for breakfast. Wow the memories that brought back.

So all in all it was a great weekend. I miss my sister and can't wait to go visit her at the beginning of May.

Jace is TWO

Ok, so I started this blog and then never did anything with it. So lets see if I can figure this all out.
Here are some clips of Jace's 2 year photo shoot. He was a ham and loves the camera.

Here is is with the step stool that Grammy and Pappy made him for Christmas. This stool goes with him everywhere and allows him to complete many things- good and bad. He has even figured out to climb on the kitchen counters with it.

Jace loves his tools. We had to buy him a tool bag after Christmas because he had so many and they were everywhere. Now he just carries his tool bag around. It is adorable.
