Easter

Easter was fun, but boy was it busy. We had breakfast at home and then we were off to see Brents family and have a late lunch.

The Easter Bunny was very good to Jace. He got 4 books, regular crayons and window crayons, silly putty, sidewalk chalk, and a chocolate bunny.
Here is Jace hunting for eggs. He had a blast and totally got the concept. He was too funny shaking all the eggs to see if there was anything inside.
Jace also got to spend some time with his big brother which he loves to do. Dylan is great with Jace. They love each other.

Coloring Eggs

I am one of those brave soles who colors Easter eggs with a toddler. This is his second year coloring eggs and he thoroughly enjoys every minute of it.
We used the dye, the wrappers, puff paint and stickers to decorate the eggs.

We had the toothpicks out to unclog the puff paints and he decided to chew on one. He is such a redneck.

And lastly our finished products.

Aren't they the prettiest eggs you have ever seen. And can you guess which ones Jace decorated?

I am sure the Easter Bunny will have a blast hiding our eggs this year.

Yippi, Yahoo, WooHoo

My camera is here.

About 2 weeks ago I completely forgot that my camera was on top of my coat in the passanger seat of my car. I lifted my coat out and my camera went crashing to the garage floor. And although it still worked I had smashed the LCD screen. Sucked big time. I called around about getting it fixed as the camera is less than a year old, but it would cost more to repair it than to replace it. So I ordered a refurbished one on eBay last week and it arrived today. I am so happy.

What we did on Sunday

Can you guess what that was used for? Hint: the Easter Bunny was involved.

That helicopter dropped eggs, crayons, coupons, candy and other fun stuff for the Easter Egg hunt that we took Jace to on Sunday. As you can imagine there really wasn't much hunting involved, it was mostly just grapping what you could reach. Jace, of course, just went for the crayons. I swear he walked away with 10 packages of crayons. But he had a good time and that is what matters. The Bunny was scary looking and he screamed bloody murder. Poor kid. We are traumatizing him for life.

I think we need to change the seasons.

It is April 6 and we are expecting snow. I mean over the weekend it was 60's and 70's and now we pulled back out the winter coats and gloves to prepare for snow.

I have living in the midwest. It is such a tease at times. Is a warm Easter too much to ask. Jace will probably have to cover his cute suit to go out and hunt eggs.

Oh, I am done whining (at least for today).

Sisterly Love

Because I am missing my little sister I am going to share with the world a picture from over 20 years ago. Anyone care to guess which one is me?

Big Pimpin'

And a small update on me.Jace was chillin' waiting for the Easter Bunny.

And about me. Well the job I was all excited about last week. It is gone. I will remain a legal secretary until further notice.

Story: The Help Desk position was available because the previous left for maternity leave and was honest about not coming back after her leave. So they began searching and hired me for the spot. I trained for 2 days. At the end of day 2 I got called to HR. It seems that She is now returning to work on May 11 because her husband lost his job so she needs hers. While I am glad she has a job, because I can't imagine a new house and new baby and no job, I am sad because I was really excited. But hey, I still have a job that I like so I am not complaining (too much).
